Welcome to the
CeBASE e-mail update!
We are please to
inform you of new updates on the CeBASE website (http://www.cebase.org)
and other relevant news over the last months:
- New lessons leaned were added
to our repository concerning COTS-Based Software Development.
Check out the latest lessons learned on the last page of the
repository at: http://fc-md.umd.edu/ll/index.asp?s_Aspect=&FormLessonsLearned_Page=last#LessonsLearned
- New
reports are constantly being added to our reports repository. We
now have a section dedicated to publications from collaborators
and partners relevant to CeBASE activities. If you believe you
have something that might interest the CeBASE community, please
let us know and we can add a link to your publication from the
website. ViSEK contributed a report called The
State of the Practice of Review and Inspection Technologies in
Germany. This report draws conclusions of an on-line survey to
investigate the state of the practice in peer reviews,
walkthroughs, and inspections in German software organizations. ViSEK - the Virtual Competence Center
for Software Engineering’s goal is to disseminate information
and promote discussions about software engineering technologies
and tools to help software organizations improve their methods. Since
ViSEK is funded by the German government as a service primarily
for German industry, the website itself is not available in
English. However, CeBASE will help to publicize English-language
reports that may be of interest to the wider community through
pointers on our website. To
see the report go to our Reports sections http://www.cebase.org/www/Resources/reports/index.asp
and select “Relevant publications from CeBASE collaborators
and partners”.
- A subset of the NASA Goddard
Space Flight Center’s Software Engineering Laboratory (SEL)
database is now available at the CeBASE website. The subset
includes data of more than 200 projects over more than 15 years.
The online database was created by SEL for storage and retrieval
of software engineering data. The extensive collection of
project results will be of interest to any researchers
investigating software defects, defect densities, or other
aspects of software quality. For more details check http://www.cebase.org/www/Resources/SEL/.
Please remember
you can always use the FAQ (http://fc-md.umd.edu/cebase-faq/faq.asp)
to find answers to your questions about CeBASE and its research
areas and also post your questions. You can use the Quick Links and
Search features to quickly find relevant information on the website.
This update and
the future ones will be archived in: http://www.cebase.org/www/AboutCeBASE/newsletter/index.htm
