Welcome to the
CeBASE e-mail update!
We are please
to inform you of new updates on the CeBASE website (http://www.cebase.org) and other relevant news
over the last months:
- We
now have a full section devoted to Agile Methods. The section
contains information on empirical studies, the eWorkshops in Agile
Methods, publications and other information. Check it out at: http://www.cebase.org/www/researchActivities/agileMethods/index.htm
- In the Tools section,
the most recent addition is SPEARMINT™,
from Fraunhofer
IESE. SPEARMINT™
is a graphical modeling tool for describing software development
processes. The tool utilizes a graphical notation close to UML
that is easy to use and powerful enough for describing complex
realistic processes. Besides modeling support, SPEARMINT provides
analysis capabilities and means to generate an Electronic Process
Guide (EPG) and/or a process handbook from a process model.
Release 7.1 of SPEARMINT™ is now available. Please check out tools
section for more details: http://www.cebase.org/www/Resources/tools/index.htm
We
would also like to announce the Workshop: "What we have
learned about Agile Methods. In order to signify
closure of the series of eWorkshops in Agile Methods, Dr. Forrest Shull (CeBASE and Fraunhofer Center Maryland) and Dr.
Laurie Williams (North Carolina State University) will host a
face-to-face meeting at the Agile Development Conference that will be
held in Salt Lake City, UT from June 25 to June 28,
2003. Using some of the heuristics that resulted from the
eWorkshops as a starting point, participants will have the
opportunity to contribute their own experiences to refine or expand
the list of heuristics. More info on this workshop ins in the the
Agile Methods section: http://www.cebase.org/www/researchActivities/agileMethods/index.htm
Please remember
you can always use the FAQ (http://fc-md.umd.edu/cebase-faq/faq.asp)
